Infinity: The Hunt #3 is out tomorrow but I’m not sure I’ll get it. This scene from #2 sorta made me loose interest. While I am intrigued by some of the new characters introduced, the balance of humour and horror was off for me. Comedy and violence can work well together when used in as satire (Shaun of the Dead). But I found scenes like this to be gratuitous with some kid’s death being the punch line. I think this is one of the things people were afraid of with the announcement of Avengers Arena (which has never made a redshirt joke). Who knows, maybe tomorrow I’ll be too tempted and pick it up…
